PUTTING IT TOGETHER Earlier this month I was pleased to stumble upon Nashville-based Arboreal, an eco-friendly invitation and stationery company that creates some beautiful cards and wrapping papers. I just knew I wanted to make a Packaged Goods post around one of its papers. I chose the La Boca Apricot wrapping paper from the Recoleta collection as the base for this Anthropologie-esque wedding-gift look. Add an extra-wide, white satin ribbon and top the gift with an apricot-coloured, jumbo DIY tissue flower that's as wide as the box. (The link takes you to instructions on how to make a whole vine of pom poms for a party decoration, but you need to only follow the tutorial to make one for this gift.) Then write your well wishes to the happy couple in this modern letterpress card.
THE GOODS (1) They Lived Happily Ever After card, $6 US, Sugar Paper. (2) La Boca Apricot wrapping paper [LINK ADDED], $4 US per sheet, Arboreal, click here to find retailers (
I believe this is a new product, as it's not yet showing in the [now available] Arboreal Etsy shop). (3) French double-faced satin ribbon (66 mm wide) in Moon, $99.95 US per 27.3-yard roll, Midori. (If you don't need quite that much ribbon, try Masterstroke Canada, which sells ribbon by the metre.) (4) DIY wedding pom pom, instructions on Once Wed. (If you're not into making your own, Bhldn carries 18-inch paper poms for $6 US each).
