I understand why people might hesitate to spend money on wrapping a gift for a child, or even put in the effort to make a present look beautiful, since kids tend to tear into gifts pretty quickly.
This present is for my cousin's daughter, who just turned one. It's unlikely she'll notice the wrapping, and her big sister will probably "help" her unwrap the gift. But I think the parents will appreciate it, and I think it's important to show children they deserve pretty things too.
The wrapping isn't complicated and it was inexpensive, but it's fun and bright, and perfectly suited for the celebration of a first birthday.
